Are you a well drilling company?
No. This website is a free referral service, not a contractor. We don't drill wells or repair pumps ourselves. When you submit a request, we forward it to an independent water well contractor serving the Midland area, who contacts you directly and gives you their own quote.
Does it cost anything to request a quote?
No. Submitting a request is free and there's no obligation to hire anyone. Any price you agree to is between you and the contractor.
Who will contact me?
One independent local water well contractor. We don't sell your request to a list of companies. See our privacy page for details.
Do water well drillers in Texas need a license?
Yes. Water well drillers and pump installers in Texas are licensed by the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation (TDLR). You can look up a contractor's license on the TDLR website, and we recommend you do so before hiring anyone.
How much does a new well cost?
It depends mostly on how deep the well has to go, the casing, the pump and the distance to your house or tank. We don't publish prices because they vary by property; the contractor will quote your specific site.
My well stopped working. Is that an emergency?
If you have no water, choose "Emergency (no water)" as your timeline. Check your breaker and pressure switch first if it's safe to do so, and never open electrical panels you're not comfortable with.
What should I do about an old, unused well?
Texas requires abandoned or deteriorated wells to be plugged or capped so they can't contaminate groundwater or injure anyone. A licensed contractor can tell you which applies to your well.
Do you serve areas outside Midland?
Requests from Midland and nearby areas of Midland County are welcome. Enter your ZIP code and the contractor will confirm whether they can serve your property.
